Since I was a young boy I always yearned to help others, whether it be helping someone move furniture, or talking to them about a bad day they've had, or even picking up a few things to help a person make fewer trips to their vehicle. What made me pursue a career like this was actually a teacher from high school. I did a report and demonstration about the little knowledge I knew about massage, yet it was enough to impress him to the point where he asked me to "work" on him. Fortunately it was a great opportunity for him and I to really explore this option. He paid $15 for 15 minutes, which was a great deal for me and a great deal for him. Little did I know how much it really helped him, he said he was on some heavy painkillers before I started working on him and towards the end of me working on him he said he didn't need to any more meds because of what I was doing. He said I should explore this avenue for a career and so I did.
